Kingsbury High School is one of the largest schools in the country, a successful mixed comprehensive. Physical Education plays a very important role at Kingsbury. Sport England has awarded the prestigious Sports mark to the school in recognition of curricular and extra curricular excellence. Pupils have and continue to represent the school at Borough, County and National level.

 

The school enjoys a wide range of sporting facilities including

  • extensive playing fields used for hockey, rugby, soccer, cricket, rounders and athletics

  • two gymnasia

  • a large multi purpose sports hall

  • several hard court areas used for netball, tennis and hockey

  • permanent orienteering courses within the school grounds and surrounding parkland.

 

Students experience a full programme of activites in line with the national curriculum for KS3 and KS4, who also have the option to follow the Junior Sports Leaders Award and Step Into Sport "Sport Education" module. KS5 students can become Community Sports Leaders through numerous coaching opportunities.
