Uxendon Manor has been an active and enthusiastic supporter of the SSCO scheme since its inception and continues to promote its activities and ideals at every opportunity.This has resulted in physical education having a continuing high profile in the school. Weekly clubs continue to expand and now encompass cheerleading, aerobics, netball and football with a grade 3 coach. External lessons during school hours have included an extensive hockey programme with John Shaw, a double hockey Olympian, and a hugely successful skipping workshop.
This, together with a prolonged promotion of healthy and active living issues and ‘Brain Gym’ activities has resulted in a school where physical activity is greatly valued.
