Partnership Information
Since September 2002, Kingsbury High School has been managing an exciting national initiative aimed at raising standards and improving the quality of PE & Sports in schools.
The School Sport Co-ordinator Programme, funded by the Government and co-ordinated nationally by the Youth Sport Trust aims to increase sports opportunities for young people in both the curriculum and during out of school hours activities.
The Kingsbury Partnership has focused on providing specialised sports teaching for the primary and secondary schools in the partnership (of which there are 42) developing out of hours sports activities for children, organising inter school sports tournaments and delivering a programme of INSET training courses for teachers involved in the scheme.
